The Lectionary
According to the Christian Seasons
Acts 15:1-6
1 And certain men who came down from Judea taught the brethren
and said, "Unless ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be
saved." 2 When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and
disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain others
of them should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this
question. 3 And being sent on their way by the church, they passed through
Phoenicia and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles; and they caused
great joy unto all the brethren. 4 And when they had come to Jerusalem, they
were received by the church and by the apostles and elders, and they declared
all things that God had done with them.
5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees who
believed, saying that it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to
keep the Law of Moses. 6 And the apostles and the elders came together to
consider this matter.
Psalm 122
1 I was glad when they said unto me, "Let us go
into the house of the LORD."
2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
3 Jerusalem is built as a city that is united
together,
4 whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, according to the
testimony of Israel to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.
5 For there are set thrones of judgment,
the thrones of the house of David.
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
"They shall prosper that love thee.
7 Peace be within thy walls
and prosperity within thy palaces."
8 For my brethren and companions' sakes I will now say, "Peace
be within thee."
9 Because of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek thy good.
Words of Worship - John 15:4a, 5b
"Abide in Me, and I in
you.
He that abideth in Me and I in Him, the
same bringeth forth much fruit, for without Me ye can
do nothing.
John 15:1-8
1 "I am the true vine,
and My Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in Me
that beareth not fruit He taketh away; and every
branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may
bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through
the Word which I have spoken unto you.
4 "Abide in Me, and I in
you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself,
unless it abide in the vine, no more can ye, unless
ye abide in Me.
5 "I am the vine, ye are
the branches. He that abideth in Me and I in Him, the
same bringeth forth much fruit, for without Me ye can
do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in Me, he is cast
forth as a branch and is withered; and men gather
them and cast them into the fire, and they are
burned. 7 If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in
you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done
unto you. 8 Herein is My Father glorified, that ye
bear much fruit; so shall ye be My disciples.
Words of Wisdom - Proverbs 16:3

"When ye pray,
say:
Our Father who art in Heaven,
hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done, as in Heaven, so on earth.
Give us day by day our daily bread.
And forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil."
