Authorized VersionTM NAVTM)
According to the Christian Seasons
27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the
council. And the high priest asked them, 28 saying, "Did not we strictly
command you that ye should not teach in this name? And behold, ye have filled
Jerusalem with your doctrine and intend to bring this man's blood upon us."
29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, "We ought to obey
God rather than men. 30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and
hanged on a tree. 31 Him hath God exalted with His right hand to be a Prince and
a Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. 32 And we are
His witnesses of these things, and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath
given to those who obey Him."
33 When they heard this, they were cut to the heart and took
counsel to slay them.
11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me;
I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
12 What man is he that desireth life,
and loveth many days, that he may see good?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil,
and thy lips from speaking guile.
14 Depart from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it.
15 The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous,
and His ears are open unto their cry.
16 The face of the LORD is against them that do evil,
to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth,
and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart,
and saveth such as are of a contrite spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
20 He keepeth all his bones;
not one of them is broken.
21 Evil shall slay the wicked,
and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.
22 The LORD redeemeth the soul of His servants,
and none of them that trust in Him shall be desolate.
Words of Worship - John 20:29
thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed. Blessed are they that have not
seen and yet have believed."
31 "He that cometh from above is above all; he that is of the
earth is earthly and speaketh of the earth. He that cometh from Heaven
is above all. 32 And what He hath seen and heard, to that He testifieth,
and no man receiveth His testimony. 33 He that hath received His
testimony hath set his seal to this: that God is true. 34 For He whom
God hath sent speaketh the words of God, for God giveth not the Spirit
by measure unto Him. 35 The Father loveth the Son and hath given all
things into His hand. 36 He that believeth in the Son hath everlasting
life; and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life, but the
wrath of God abideth on him."
Words of Wisdom - Proverbs 15:1
A soft answer turneth away wrath,
but grievous words stir up anger.
Morals & Values - Luke 6:30-33
Give to every man that asketh of thee;
and of him that taketh away thy goods, ask them not back. And as ye would that
men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. For if ye love
them that love you, what thanks have ye? For sinners also love those
that love them. And if ye do good to them that do good to you, what
thanks have ye? For sinners also do even the same.
