The Lectionary
According to the Christian Seasons
Revelation 21:9-14
9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels, who had the
seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying,
"Come hither; I will show thee the bride, the Lamb's wife." 10 And he
carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that
great city, the Holy Jerusalem, descending out of Heaven from God, 11 having the
glory of God. And her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a
jasper stone, clear as crystal. 12 It had a wall great and high, and had twelve
gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names were written thereon, which are
the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 on the east three
gates, on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and on the west three
gates. 14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them the names
of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
Psalm 145:10-21
10 All Thy works shall praise Thee, O LORD,
and Thy saints shall bless Thee.
11 They shall speak of the glory of Thy Kingdom
and talk of Thy power,
12 to make known to the sons of men His mighty acts
and the glorious majesty of His Kingdom.
13 Thy Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom,
and Thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.
14 The LORD upholdeth all that fall,
and raiseth up all those that are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all wait upon Thee,
and Thou givest them their meat in due season.
16 Thou openest Thine hand,
and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
17 The LORD is righteous in all His ways,
and holy in all His works.
18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon Him,
to all that call upon Him in truth.
19 He will fulfill the desire of them that fear Him;
He also will hear their cry and will save them.
20 The LORD preserveth all them that love Him,
but all the wicked will He destroy.
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD,
and let all flesh bless His holy name for ever and ever.
Words of Worship - John 1:49b
"Rabbi, Thou art the Son of God; Thou art the King of
Israel."
John 1:43-51
43 The day following, Jesus would go forth into Galilee,
and found Philip and said unto him,
"Follow Me."
44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and
Peter. 45 Philip found Nathanael and said unto him, "We have found
Him of whom Moses in the Law and the Prophets wrote: Jesus of Nazareth,
the son of Joseph." 46 And Nathanael said unto him, "Can any
good thing come out of Nazareth?" Philip said unto him, "Come
and see." 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and said of him,
"Behold, an
Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!"
48 Nathanael said unto Him, "How knowest Thou
me?" Jesus answered and said unto him,
"Before Philip
called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee."
49 Nathanael answered and said unto Him, "Rabbi,
Thou art the Son of God; Thou art the King of Israel." 50 Jesus
answered and said unto him,
"Because I said
unto thee, 'I saw thee under the fig tree,' believest thou? Thou shalt
see greater things than these."
51 And He said unto him,
"Verily, verily I
say unto you, hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of
God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man."
Words of Wisdom - Ecclesiasticus 32:23
In every good work trust thy own soul,
for this is the keeping of the commandments.

"Hear ye
therefore the parable of the sower: When any
one heareth the Word of the Kingdom and understandeth
it not, then cometh the wicked one and catcheth away that which was
sown in his heart. This is he that received seed by the wayside. But he that received
the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the Word and at once with joy receiveth it;
yet hath he not root in himself, but endureth for
a while. For when tribulation or persecution ariseth
because of the Word, by and by he loses faith. He
also that received the seed among the thorns is he
that heareth the Word; and the cares of this world
and the deceitfulness of riches choke the Word, and
he becometh unfruitful. But he that received seed
into the good ground is he that heareth the Word and
understandeth it; who also beareth fruit and bringeth
forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some
thirty."
