The Lectionary
According to the Christian Seasons
Deuteronomy 26:16-19
16 "This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these
statutes and judgments; thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine
heart and with all thy soul. 17 Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be
thy God, and to walk in His ways, and to keep His statutes and His commandments
and His judgments, and to hearken unto His voice. 18 And the LORD hath
avouched thee this day to be His peculiar people, as He hath promised thee, and
that thou shouldest keep all His commandments, 19 and to make thee high
above all nations which He hath made in praise and in name and in honor, and
that thou mayest be a holy people unto the LORD thy God, as He hath
spoken."
Psalm 119:1-8
1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way,
who walk in the law of the LORD.
2 Blessed are they that keep His testimonies
and that seek Him with the whole heart.
3 They also do no iniquity;
they walk in His ways.
4 Thou hast commanded us to keep Thy precepts diligently;
5 O that my ways were directed to keep Thy statutes!
6 Then shall I not be ashamed
when I have respect unto all Thy commandments.
7 I will praise Thee with uprightness of heart
when I shall have learned Thy righteous judgments.
8 I will keep Thy statutes;
O forsake me not utterly!
Words of Worship - 2
Corinthians 6:2c
Behold, now is the accepted time! Behold, now is the day of
salvation!
Matthew 5:43-48
43 "Ye have heard that it
hath been said, `Thou shalt love thy neighbor and hate thine enemy.' 44 But I
say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them
that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you,
45 that ye may be the children of your Father who is in Heaven. For He maketh
His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and
on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them that love you, what reward have ye? Do
not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what
do ye more than others? Do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore
perfect, even as your Father who is in Heaven is perfect.
Words of Wisdom - Proverbs 11:27
He that diligently seeketh good procureth favor;
but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.

But those
things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart, and
they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts,
murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness,
blasphemies: these are the things which defile a man. But to eat
with unwashed hands defileth not a
man."
