Amos 7:7-17

7 Thus He showed me: And behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made with a plumb line, with a plumb line in His hand. 8 And the LORD said unto me, "Amos, what seest thou?" And I said, "A plumb line." Then said the Lord,

 "Behold, I will set a plumb line in the midst of My people Israel;
I will not again pass by them any more.
9 And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste;
and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword."

10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, "Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel; the land is not able to bear all his words. 11 For thus Amos saith, `Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land.'" 

12 Also Amaziah said unto Amos, "O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread and prophesy there. 13 But prophesy not again any more at Bethel; for it is the king's sanctuary, and it is the king's court." 

14 Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, "I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was a herdsman and a gatherer of sycamore fruit. 15 And the LORD took me as I followed the flock, and the LORD said unto me, `Go, prophesy unto My people Israel.' 16 Now therefore, hear thou the word of the LORD. Thou sayest, `Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not thy word against the house of Isaac.' 17 Therefore thus saith the LORD: `Thy wife shall be a harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword; and thy land shall be divided by line, and thou shalt die in a polluted land. And Israel shall surely go into captivity forth from his land.'"

Psalm 19

1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the firmament showeth His handiwork.
2 Day upon day uttereth speech,
and night upon night showeth knowledge.
3 There is no speech nor language
where their voice is not heard.
4 Their sound has gone forth through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
In them hath He set a tabernacle for the sun,
5 which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it; and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul;
the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever;
the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold;
sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them is Thy servant warned,
and in keeping of them there is great reward.

12 Who can understand his errors?
Cleanse Thou me from secret faults.
13 Keep back Thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me.
Then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent of the great transgression.

14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight,
O LORD, my Strength and my Redeemer.

 to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, and hath committed unto us the Word of reconciliation.

Matthew 9:1-8

1 And He entered into a boat, and passed over and came into His own city. 2 And behold, they brought to Him a man sick with the palsy, lying on a bed. And Jesus, seeing their faith, said unto the one sick with the palsy, 

"Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee." 

3 And behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, "This man blasphemeth." 4 And Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, 

"Why think ye evil in your hearts? 5 For which is easier: to say, `Thy sins be forgiven thee,' or to say, `Arise and walk'? 6 But that ye may know that the Son of Man hath power on earth to forgive sins,"-- 

(then said He to the one sick with palsy) 

"Arise, take up thy bed and go unto thine house."

7 And he arose and departed to his house. 

8 But when the multitudes saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such power unto men. 

Words of Wisdom - Jeremiah 32:38-40

And they shall be My people, and I will be their God; and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me for ever, for the good of them and of their children after them. And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from Me.
