The Lectionary According to the Christian Seasons

Ephesians 2:19-22

19 Now therefore, ye are strangers and foreigners no more, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God. 20 Ye are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21 in whom all the building, fitly framed together, groweth unto a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in Whom ye also are built together for a habitation of God through the Spirit.

Psalm 117

1 O praise the LORD, all ye nations!
Praise Him, all ye people!
2 For His merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever.
Praise ye the LORD!

Words of Worship - John 20:29

Jesus said unto him,

"Thomas, because thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed. Blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed."

John 20:24-31

24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, "We have seen the Lord." But he said unto them, "Unless I shall see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into His side, I will not believe."

26 And after eight days the disciples were again within, and Thomas was with them. Then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in their midst and said,

"Peace be unto you."

27 Then said He to Thomas,

"Reach hither thy finger and behold My hands, and reach hither thy hand and thrust it into My side: and be not faithless, but believing."

28 And Thomas answered and said unto Him, "My Lord and my God!" 29 Jesus said unto him,

"Thomas, because thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed. Blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed."

30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book. 31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing, ye might have life through His name.

Words of Wisdom - Proverbs 22:1

A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches,
and loving favor rather than silver and gold.

Jesus Speaks Morals & Values - Matthew 6:27-30

"Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They toil not, neither do they spin, and yet I say unto you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Therefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
