Authorized VersionTM NAVTM)
According to the Christian Seasons
"O Lord, the great and fearsome God, keeping the covenant and
mercy to them that love Him and to them that keep His commandments, 5 we
have sinned and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly and have
rebelled, even by departing from Thy precepts and from Thy judgments. 6 Neither
have we hearkened unto Thy servants the prophets, who spoke in Thy name
to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the
land. 7 O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto Thee, but unto us
confusion of faces, as at this day: to the men of Judah and to the
inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel who are near and who
are far off, through all the countries whither Thou hast driven them,
because of their trespass that they have trespassed against Thee. 8 O
Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes,
and to our fathers, because we have sinned against Thee. 9 To the
Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled
against Him; 10 neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our
God to walk in His laws, which He set before us by His servants the
1 O God, the heathen have come into Thine inheritance;
Thy holy temple have they defiled, they have laid Jerusalem in
2 The dead bodies of Thy servants have they given to be meat unto
the fowls of the heavens,
the flesh of Thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.
3 Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem,
and there was none to bury them.
4 We have become a reproach to our neighbors,
a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.
5 How long, LORD? Wilt Thou be angry for ever?
Shall Thy jealousy burn like fire?
6 Pour out Thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known Thee,
and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon Thy name;
7 for they have devoured Jacob
and laid waste his dwelling place.
8 O remember not former iniquities against us;
let Thy tender mercies go speedily before us, for we are brought very
9 Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Thy name;
and deliver us and purge away our sins, for Thy name's sake.
10 Why should the heathen say, "Where is their God?"
Let Him be known among the heathen in our sight by the avenging of the
blood of Thy servants which is shed.
11 Let the sighing of the prisoner come before Thee;
according to the greatness of Thy power, preserve Thou those that are
appointed to die.
12 And render unto the bosom of our neighbors
sevenfold their reproach wherewith they have reproached Thee, O Lord.
13 So we Thy people and the sheep of Thy pasture, will give Thee
thanks for ever;
we will show forth Thy praise to all generations.
Words of Worship - John
The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they
Thou hast the words of eternal life,
27 "But I say unto you that hear: Love
your enemies, do good to them that hate you. 28 Bless them that curse you, and
pray for them that despitefully use you. 29 And unto him that smiteth thee on
the one cheek, offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak,
forbid not to take thy coat also. 30 Give to every man that asketh of thee;
and of him that taketh away thy goods, ask them not back. 31 And as ye would
that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. 32 For if ye love them
that love you, what thanks have ye? For sinners also love those that love
them. 33 And if ye do good to them that do good to you, what thanks have ye?
For sinners also do even the same. 34 And if ye lend to them from whom ye hope
to receive, what thanks have ye? For sinners also lend to sinners, to receive
as much again. 35 But love ye your enemies, and do good and lend, hoping for
nothing in return; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the
children of the Highest; for He is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
37 "Judge not, and ye shall not be
judged. Condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned. Forgive, and ye shall be
forgiven. 38 Give, and it shall be given unto you: good measure, pressed down
and shaken together and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with
the same measure that ye mete, therewith it shall be measured to you
Words of Wisdom - Ecclesiasticus 12:8
A friend cannot be known in prosperity,
and an enemy cannot be hidden in
Morals & Values - Luke 6:20-23
"Blessed be ye poor,
for yours is the Kingdom of God.
Blessed are ye that hunger now,
for ye shall be filled.
Blessed are ye that weep now,
for ye shall laugh.
Blessed are ye when men shall hate you,
and when they shall separate you from their company,
and shall reproach you and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of Man's
Rejoice ye in that day and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great
for in like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
