Daily Scripture Readings Text taken from the
Isaiah 55:10-11
We are now offering you two choices of
The Common Calendar Year Which is best for you? If time permits, you may wish to use both. If you are interested primarily in learning about what the Bible says in sequence from beginning to end, you may prefer the Common Calendar Readings which start on January 1 of each year and end on December 31 of that same year. If, on the other hand, you are interested in knowing what the Bible says for appropriate yearly seasons, you may prefer the Liturgical Calendar Readings Lectionary which begins on the first Sunday of Advent (usually around December 1st) and ends on the last Saturday before the first Sunday of Advent the following year. For an in depth explanation of our two Daily Scripture Reading formats, we invite you to follow this link to our more detailed discussion of the differences between the two. |
